The John Hartson Blog – January Update
As part of my many upcoming projects for the year ahead, one of them will be a regular blog on the Creditfix website. Lots of you may know already that I’m an ambassador for Creditfix and will be using this blog to keep you up-to-date with what’s going on in my life, as well as my views and advice on current issues. This particular blog is a quick intro so feel free to let me know if you’d like to hear me discuss anything in detail in future blogs and I’ll happily listen to your ideas.
So, where do I start?
For those who follow me on Twitter, you’ll soon see me on my way to a physical training camp where I’ll be for two weeks. The training is to get me in peak physical condition for an upcoming project in aid of Prostate Cancer. It’s a cause that’s obviously close to my heart so it’s great for me to be able to help out.
Following up my tweet last night about going to bed happy.. I go to bed very happy every night ! ✌😍 pic.twitter.com/QkUzez67D8

As some of you may have already seen, earlier this week, I ruled myself out of the running to become manager of the Wales international football team. Obviously, this would have been an honour and a privilege. I love my country and representing Wales over 50 times is my proudest achievement in football, but right now it was just too much for me.
I think it’s interesting to see Ryan Giggs get the job, I don’t think all the fans will be overjoyed, but that was always going to be the case whoever the manager. He was a fantastic player and because of this he will no doubt gain the respect of the players, which is great given this is his first big role. I wish him all the best and I hope he does well with all of the fans behind him.

As well as keeping an eye on Wales, a project I’m really enjoying at the moment is working with the strikers at Livingston Football Club. It’s a young squad and any experience I can bring to help the boys improve can only be a good thing. Livingston are a great club for developing young talent with the likes of Leigh Griffiths coming through their academy so I’m delighted to be involved.
Off the field, I’m continuing my work with BT Sport & BBC Radio 5 Live, taking in some massive matches this season at Arsenal and Celtic in particular. I’ll hopefully get a chance to get back along to the Emirates & Parkhead before the end of the season.
