Meet some of the insolvency experts who are there to advise and support Creditfix clients throughout their time with us.
David Rankin
After studying accountancy at Manchester Polytechnic David’s career in insolvency started at the Official Receiver’s office in Liverpool in 1983. In 1990 he moved into the private sector and has since worked at a senior level in both corporate and personal insolvency at national and boutique firms.
David passed the Joint Insolvency Examination Board examinations in 1986 and has taken insolvency appointments in his own name since 2003. He joined Creditfix in 2015 and has overseen the expansion of our team of seven insolvency practitioners and development of robust processes to ensure best-in-class customer service.
As well as his internal responsibilities, David sits on several regulatory committees to drive best practice across the sector, meets regularly with regulators and government officials, and responds to all government consultations on personal insolvency matters on behalf of Creditfix.
Tracy Whittaker
Tracy has worked in the Personal Insolvency sector since 2004. She has gained numerous qualifications in management and Insolvency throughout her time in the industry. After a year out to travel in 2009, she obtained her Insolvency Licence in 2010 and has taken appointments since 2014. Tracy joined Creditfix in 2020 and looks at all aspects of the IVAs throughout the lifetime of the case. She handles escalated case queries and assists with training, development, regulatory reviews and process improvement.
Mike Sloper
Mike graduated with a law degree from Lancaster University in 2001 and completed his Legal Practice Course at the College of Law York in 2003. He gained his Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency while working for a Manchester based personal insolvency practice in 2007. He went on to work for a top 10 accountancy firm where he completed the Joint Insolvency Examination Board qualification and obtained his licence to practise as an Insolvency Practitioner in 2011. Mike joined Creditfix in 2018. Based in our overseas office, Mike is primarily responsible for supporting and training our post-appointment staff including our customer support, financial review and case closure teams.
Lucy Griffin
Lucy graduated from University of the Arts London in 2011. In 2012 Lucy joined a small Insolvency practice in Liverpool in 2012. She gained her Certificate of Proficiency in Personal Insolvency while working for a Manchester based personal insolvency practice in 2015. Lucy started working in Creditfix in 2016 and after working in Insolvency for 8 years, sat the Joint Insolvency Examination Board qualification for Personal Insolvency and obtained her licence to practise as an Insolvency Practitioner in 2020. Lucy is primarily responsible for queries that arise in relation to equity, windfalls and variations, along with other matters relating to the Supervision of active IVAs.
